Try&Decide in Acronis True Image 2021
Unless I am missing something in the PDF User Guide for Acronis True Image 2021, I cannot see any way to view the changes that Acronis is tracking when Try&Decide is turned on. I realize that you can discard the changes, but what I really want to know is what a specific application is doing once it is launched.
I have a couple of utilities that I have downloaded from the Internet that have been flagged by Microsoft Defender as suspicious. I believe that these utilities are safe, but I am not completely certain that is the true. Ideally if I could see what Try&Decide is logging I might be able to determine if the application is doing anything suspicious.
I am not sure if the Try&Decide feature is really designed to do what I want, which is more of an application behavior logger when the application is launched.
If Try&Decide is not really designed to do this type of tracking does anyone have a suggestion on some software that is really good at providing this type of functionality? Thanks.

Steve, thanks for the reply. I will check out Sandboxie as you suggested.

Hi Steve,
Here is a little bit of irony. When I downloaded Sandboxie, Microsoft Defender flagged it a low level threat. The threat it found is PUA:Win32/InstallCore. This is the second program that I have downloaded that was flagged by Microsoft Defender as having PUA:Win32/InstallCore as part of its executable.
In fact, this previous flag I just mentioned above by Microsoft Defender was on a utility I downloaded from the Internet and that flag is the reason why I wanted to try and find some software that could monitor an application's behavior enough for me to determine if the software is safe.
So who monitors Sandboxie? Just kidding, I assume this software is safe, but I wanted to see if you were aware that Microsoft Defender was going to flag the software as a low level threat containing PUA:Win32/InstallCore?

Ok, so the plot gets weirder. I think the link I used to download Sandboxie was not one to the real Sandboxie or it was one to a modified Sandboxie. I went back to Sandboxie's website and clicked on their link to download the Sandboxie software. When you do this you have to fill out a form to get a download link. This time the executable that was downloaded did not cause Microsoft Defender to flag it as a problem.

Todd, glad you have got the official download for Sandboxie, I haven't seen any alerts from Defender on any downloads I've done recently, but I try to be very selective about where I go for downloads! Sandboxie has been installed for several years and just updated when prompted.
Always best to err on the side of caution if alerts are raised! I will upload anything flagged as suspicious to the VirusTotal scanning service to get a better feel for if the flag is correct or not?
