Warning about possible ransomeware (in Outlook Data )

Thread needs solution

I just started getting this a few days ago some time after I opened outlook. It freezes my computer until I respond to whether I want to Ignore or quarantine the files. After I respond, the computer remains frozen. I am only able to open task manager but then it refreezes again and I post power it off. I have run several different virus and malware scans and the don't find any issues.

BTW I am also running McAfee Total Protection so why is the ATI feature even operational? Update: I had temporarily disabled McAfee when the last scan was run.

ATI 2021 Build 35860

Harry, I would strongly recommend using the option to 'Turn off Protection permanently' in the Protection settings page of ATI 2021 if you have got McAfee Total Protection installed on your PC.  It has never been recommended to have multiple antivirus products in operation.

If you still see any issues with Protection off permanently, and believe that these come from ATI Protection, then I would recommend opening this as a support ticket direct with Acronis so that they can investigate it in more detail.

I agree with Steve Smith.

I recently installed the latest build of 2021 on on an ancient PC which had Norton 360 installed and potentially conflicting ATI modules were not activated. This was a clean installation not updating an old installation - the PC previously has ATI 2018 installed; I uninstalled 2018 before installing 2021.

Update: inexplicably I found full virus scan was scheduled despite that module not being active due to Norton 365 being active.
