acronis bootable media does not support perc H700?

Thread needs solution

I am tyring to do a backup using Acronis bootable media, created from Acronis True Image Echo Server, on our new server DELL R610. However, it is unable to recognize any drives. The server is using PERC H700 Integrated raid controller, with 2 hdd on raid 1 and 4 hdd on raid 5.

Somewhere on the forum i read that the bootable media does not work with the new raid controller.

So, how should I go about doing this in order to do the backup image?

Please advise. Thanks!

Hello May,

Thank you for posting and welcome to our forum. I will definitely help you with this issue.

If I am not mistaken, the thread you refer to has a slightly different RAID controller for which we eventually added support in our bootable media. The Acronis software that was used in that thread is called Acronis Backup and Recovery 10 which replaced Acronis True Image Echo Server. I did not find any issues in our database regarding PERC H700 RAID controller.

I would recommend the following solution:

1. I will send you a private message with a download link for the trial version of ABR10 bootable media. The trial version is limited to recovery operations only but you will be able to determine if your RAID model is supported.

2. If the media fails to work, you can collect this report from the media and contact our Support team directly so that we can fix this issue for you.

In case you have additional questions please let me know.

Thank you.
