Acronis True Image Echo Enterprise Server - The Application failed to Initalize properly (0xc0000142)

Hello,

last few days we have a problem with the execution of scheduled tasks by "Acronis True Image Echo Enterprise Server (build 8.319)".
After restarting the server (Microsoft Windows Server 2003 R2 Enterprise Edition Service Pack 2 ) the scheduled task should be performed at the appointed time. However, the task stops and shows at the console (not in a remote session), the error message:
“TrueImageNotify.exe - "The Application failed to initialize properly (0xc0000142)...."

We try a repair installation and reinstallation of "Acronis True Image Echo Enterprise Server”, unfortunately without success. We also deleted the scheduled task and created them again.

Is anyone aware of this problem or has a solution for us?

Hello Attila,

I understand the issue and will try to give you clear steps of resolution.

TrueImageNotify is used to provide an E-mail or Windows pop-up notification after a backup is created. So it’s not clear how it can influence scheduled backups to fail. In order to investigate the issue I would recommend you to turn off WinPopup notifications within the program. Tools -> Options -> Notifications -> Messenger (winPopUp) -> make sure that all boxes are unchecked. See if the issue persists.

If it’s not the case I would recommend you to update Acronis Scheduler:

  1. Download Acronis Scheduler, which is a special utility to update the scheduler service:
  2. Extract the downloaded file and run install.bat. The utility will automatically update the service;

See if the issue is resolved. If it is not, then please proceed with steps 3 and 4:

  1. Reboot the machine;
  2. Recreate the scheduled tasks.

I noticed you are not using the latest build 8398.  You may want to update the build, I am not certain if the issue is addressed in the new build at this point, however it is generally a good idea to be up to date. You can download the latest build from your account under registered products.

If the issue persists please attach Acronis error log file to your next reply.

It seems it was in the same time, when we 've set up SQL server 2008 and business objects

I try 8398, we were into 8206 but nothing better

TrueImageNotify.exe also causing problems in TrueImage Home 2010 latest build have now uninstalled and reinstalling but this looks like there is a problem in the program, i have windows pro SP2.

its really annoying i need the backups to work everyday !!!!

this should be easy to schedule if it worked properly

C:\ = 41.08gb used
E:\ backup drive 500.00gb

create 4 to 7 full backups 1 every day

delete the oldest backup after 4
