Acronis True Image Enterprise Server - Not seeing Hard Drive

Thread needs solution

Hi all

I am using Acronis True Image Enterprise Server 9.1 on a Lenovo T400, WinXP SP3 system with 2 GB memory and trying to create an image to save to a USB ext HD.

At first I could not use "Full Version" but found a work-around using "F11" and entering the "quiet acpi=off noapic" parameter. This allowed me to start in "Full version" however it does not see my local HD. I can see my USB ext HD but not my local HD.

I have tried disabling the A/V and TVT Backup (Protection) Service (3rd party backup solution) but still cannot create an image from the bootable rescue media. If I start windows normally and use the program from there I can create an image to my ext USB drive. The reason for wanting to use the bootable rescue media is so that I can reimage a crashed system.

Does anyone have any other suggestions? I have been researching this for a while now and haven't seen any other suggestions other than what I have tried so far.

Thanks for any assistance you can render in this matter.

Hello Robert,

I understand your question and will do my best to solve the issue you experience.

First of all please make sure that you are using the latest build of the program. Check it in Help -> About. You can always download the latest build of the program from your account under Registered Products.

The source of the issue is lack of drivers under Linux. I have sent you a special ISO image of Acronis bootable disc via PM, please download it and let me know the results.

You can find more information on how to burn an ISO image to a CD at:

http://iso.snoekonline.com/iso.htm

http://www.petri.co.il/how_to_write_iso_files_to_cd.htm

Let us know the results.

I have my ati enterprise server 9.1 full version and I am trying to restore from my usb archives connected to my pc. When I open my bootable cd I can see my pc and networks pcs and servers but not my usb drive where I have my archives(tib) backup. Need your help..thanks

 Hello Eduardo!

Thank you for finding time to contact us and report about the issue! I understand your concern and will be glad to help you!

The problem was caused by the lack of drivers on the media you're using. Acronis True Image 9.1 Enterprise Server is an outdated product, it's not supported, developed or updated anymore, so we cannot guarantee that it will recognise modern hardware. Still we can try the latest updated bootable media.

I will send you the updated bootable media via Private in a minute: it may help to resolve the issue faced.

Should you decide to upgrade, I would advise you to test our Acronis Backup and Recovery Advanced Server - it has new features and currently it's the latest version, more stable and reliable. All it's functionality is described in the User's, Installation and Quick Start Guides, so you may find them useful.

In case it suit you needs, just press Upgrade button and the product up

Should you need anything else or have any further questions - feel free to contact us at your earliest convenience, we will be happy to help you!

Thank you!
