backup-task hangs at 100%
hi
i hope some one can help me with the following problem:
- acronis true image echo server (build 8398).
- ms sbs 2003
we have about seven different task for backup the data from the server to the attached usb harddisks. some times the task is running without any problem and sometimes it hangs at 100%.
then i have to kill the task or restart the server. i have to do this 3 or 4 times without any improvement. i also tried to backup the data to an lokal drive, but the same problem occured.
what can i do to solve this problem? thx for any help...

Hi,
I have the exact same problem, since a few weeks! We used Acronis TI Echo Server for nearly two years and everything worked. We changed nothing. Now suddenly it keeps on locking up on certain backup tasks when it is nearly finished. I already updated the scheduler and submitted a request to support but I doubt there will be a reply to this urgent problem any time soon..

the answer was, i had first to buy a support contract.

I contacted support about the same issue. I was told to do a repair on the install. Also, if in the logs it says there are any tasks that cannot be found, you will need to manually remove them.

same problem; True Image Workstation.
manual backup, the green progress bars get all the way to the right, implying that it's completed, and there's a status message at the bottom that says Operation in progress 100%, BUT the only buttons to close are Cancel and Hide, and the backup file on the USB drive shows "0 KB", and if I click Cancel I get a message saying "Are you sure you want to cancel this operation and quit?"
This is one of several problems we've had from our initial installation in April 2008, and I'm not about to buy another support contract until the fix this broken software. We have yet to get a restorable backup file!!!
Acronis, you know how to reach me to fix this, and if not, I want a refund!
