Backup using specific NIC

Thread needs solution

Hi,
I use the latest version of True Image Echo Enterprise Server (9.7.8353) to backup some Linux clients. I was wondering if there is a way to backup a client using a specific network interface. In our infrastructure, besides the normal 100Mbps connection provided centrally, I have also established a direct Gigabit connection between certain clients and the backup server, using dedicated NICs. So I can connect to the client in two ways, one using its proper IP at 100Mbps, and the other using a 192.168.x.x IP at 1000Mbps. Even though I can use the latter way and backup high speed manually, I am not sure which interface is used under scheduled backups. Is Acronis Server smart enough to be using the fastest interface?

Hello g p,

Thank you for your question and welcome to our forum. I will be happy to assist you.

Acronis software uses Windows drivers to detect the network card, that is why depending on the Windows usage of a specific card it will select them accordingly. There is no option in our software to select a network card but I would like to thank you for your suggestion.

Although Acronis True Image Echo Enterprise Server is no longer developed, I will submit a Customer Listening Case and forward it to our Development team in charge of ABR10, so that they can implement this feature in our software.

Please let me know if you need additional assistance.

Thank you.
