Cannot recover data from my Acronis backup server
I'm trying to restore a workstation using Acronis True Image Management Console (build 8,353), but I get this error:
W000A03EB: Reboot is required.
A reboot is required for completing this operation; the operation will be cancelled if you choose not to reboot now.
I then click reboot.
E00040011: Failed to activate Acronis Bootable Agent. bootwiz.sys.
How can I restore without getting this error?

So are you saying that I have to walk around to each and every computer and insert the Acronis Bootable Rescue Media, then reboot to media, and choose the agent option? This kills the whole remote console options of installing the agent and then performing a remote recovery. Is there a fix for this other then using the bootable media????
Thank you...

Hello Michael,
Thank you for using [[http://www.acronis.com/enterprise/ | Acronis Corporate Products]]
This issue can be fixed by using the latest build of the program. If you already use the latest build of Acronis True Image Echo, please install Acronis Backup & Recovery 10.0 and see if the issue remains.
You can get the access to the trial version here.
Thank you.

I have build 8,344. The easy way to do it is to select "create bootable rescue media" and choose "acronis bootable agent" and have it write to CD, etc. Then you have to take the bootable agent on CD/DVD (whatever you create it on) to you computer to be recovered, install the CD, reboot the computer and it will come up with the option to run the bootable agent (or run Windows). Select the bootable agent and wait until it says you can now remotely connect. Then you can go through the recovery process remotely to install a backup image from a server. It works. Just make sure the computer you are restoring to does not contain any new hardware (e.g. ethernet cards) that is not included in the backup image.
