can't see sata drives

I have two sata drives. The True Image 8 loaded and created images just fine. My system got corrupted and the recovery disc cannot see any drives. The images are on my E drive (drive 2) but I have not been able to access them so I have to reformat that computer.

By the way, when I boot up the computer, the black screen also says it sees no drives. But it had been running fine til now.
