Error - The installation was interrupted...

Thread needs solution

Hello!

We have an installation problem with Acronis True Image Echo Server build 8,163. It was tried to be installed on Windows Server 2008 SP2 64bit.

There was trial version of Acronis Backup and Recovery 10 installed on Windows server before Acronis True Image Echo Server installation. Acronis Backup and Recovery 10 was uninstalled via Windows uninstall function and registry entries were cleaned with Glary Utilities.

For now several attempts have been tried without success:

Installation log has been enclosed below. Could you please look it and try to inform how to proceed? Maybe there still are something from Acronis Backup and Recovery 10 on the server which conflicts with Acronis True Image Echo Server...

Thanks

 Hello Mqu qi!

Welcome to our Forum, we're glad to greet you here! I understand your concern and will be glad to help you!

Thank you for the MSI log provided - it was a great help. The log indicates the following error:
[CUSTOMACTION]: - COM+ Errors detected: (0)

Usually that means that COM+ services are disabled. The following services should be started for successful installation: Volume Shadow Copy, COM+ System Application, Distributed Transaction Coordinator (Control Panel -> Administrative Tools -> Services). Could you please check them?

Please also note that the build you're trying to install is an outdated one. The latest is 8398. I would advise you to register your product license to your account here and download the latest build from here

Should the issue persist, please regather MSI log and Windows System Information - and send to us.

Should you need anything else or have any further questions - feel free to contact us at your earliest convenience, we will be happy to help you!

Thanks a lot for the quick response!

Yes, starting of services mentioned in your message resolved the problem!!

One service (MSDTC) was crushed and some additional preparation was needed for it. Link below for the instructions if someone has similar kind of problems:
