/Image Echo Server with Universal Restore: Create Backup Disk-

Thread needs solution

Hi

We have true image echo server for windows and universal restore we purchased late 2008.

I'm wanting to create a new recovery cd however my only options when creating bootbale media are rsi server or iso image. I have tried the image method by burning it to a cd/dvd and also extracting it with 7-zio file manager but the resultant disk will not boot. I have an original one form 2008 which does.

I did update the program appx 2 years ago. I did download the iso image from the acronis site today but after extracting it and burning it to a dvd again it did not boot.

Any suggestions to create a bootable cd or dvd? Maybe my method is incorrect?

thanks
Wayne

What do you mean 'after extracting it' ? The .iso file is an image of a bootable CD, it must be burned directly to the blank CD. If you extract files and burn them, you won't get a bootable CD. In windows 7 burning is the default action when you double-click .iso file in windows explorer.
