Installed True Image Echo Enterprise on Server 2008 R2 and it won't work and won't uninstall
Hello
I wanted to clone a hard drive on one of the servers (Windows Server 2008 R2 x64) so I installed Acronis True Image Echo Enterprise Server 9.7 and then after installing and rebooting when I tried to run it, it said it wasn't compatible with this version of windows.
I then tried to uninstall it from Programs and Features in Control Panel but I select it and it asks if I am sure I want to uninstall it and then it asks for permission and then the windows installer appears and the progress bar goes all the way along and dissapears yet the program remains installed.
I have tried to uninstall it multiple times with no success.
If the program is not compatible with Windows Server 2008 R2 why does it let me install it and how can I uninstall it?
Thanks
Robin

Hi,
I'm in a similar situation, I've installed Acronis True Image Echo Enterprise Server (9.7) on a Windows Server 2008 R2 (x64) and now I cannot uninstall it. It fails to uninstall.
I've tried to:
- repair the installation, and uninstall - not uninstalling
- tried to upgrade to Acronis Backup and Recovery 11 - fails at unintalling the True Image Echo, and stops there.
- i've tried the KB 4117: Acronis True Image Echo Cleanup Utility, the utility fails to uninstall the product.
- i've tried to manually uninstall the application with the steps from this post: http://forum.acronis.com/forum/19350 - but the software is still listed in Add Remove programs, and I cannot install the Acronis Backup and Recovery 11, as it detects the 9.7 Version.
Do you have any advice, before evaluating the last option to reinstall the Server OS?
Thank you,
