Installing Acronis True Image Server caused my machine to stop booting

Thread needs solution

Not sure if this is teh right forum or not.
Just took over an IT position and am trying to use the software left behind in his role.
Tried to install Acronis True Image Server on my PC and it said it needed to reboot and then it trashed the bootsector and my PC wouldnt load. Had to do a recovery to get back into Windows again.
Then I tried the Acronis Boot CD and when it loads it says it can't see any drives on my PC!

So, currently not using the product at all and I'll stick with other backup software I know better.

Any ideas, please feel free to pass them on though.

Hello Alan!

Welcome to our Forum, we glad to greet you here! I understand your concern and will be glad to help you!

Unfortunately due to the lack of information it's hard to identify what exactly happened when you installed Acronis True Image Echo Server for Windows. I've checked our internal resources and found no mention of a known issue that would match your descitption.

I would appreciate if you could reproduce the problem and send us the Dump file, though I will entirely understand in case you decide not to do it.

If to speak about the bootable media: most probably the issue was caused by the lack of drivers on it. This can be easily solved by obtaining the updated media built on another loader. In order to be able to do it please register the license of the product you're using here to your account and follow these instructions. After you've downloaded the media, please burn it onto the CD and see whether the issue persists.

Should you need anything else or have any further questions - feel free to contact us at your earliest convenience, we will be happy to help you!

Thank you.
