Invalid Script File! Can't modify or delete
Acronis True Image Management Console® (build 8,398)
Basically, I've been using this version of Acronis Echo Enterprise for over a year with no issues. Recently, I went to edit an existing task and found the task has been renamed to Invalid Script File. I cannot delete, edit or add new task. I also cannot delete the log files. The backup is working fine but I need to change the task start time. I've restarted and the Task still reads as invalid and remains non-editable.
I read here: http://kb.acronis.com/content/1731 that this is an false error message and that the solution is to upgrade to the newest version. I find it hard to believe that this is the only solution to this issue. This version has been very reliable and has worked just fine for me up to this point.
If I have to, I'll uninstall and reinstall. That's going to take a lot of time as I am backing up a lot of workstations.
Please help!!!

After some digging, I found that it was not only possible, but quite easy to remove the Invalid Script File and Logs from Acronis True Image Management Console® (build 8,398) Although finding this solution took a little more time than I would have liked... in this instance figuring out a fix was well worth it. I hope this solution will help others.
Here's how I did it:
1. I closed Acronis True Image Management Console, then logged into the computer that had the invalid script and navigated here: C:\\Documents and Settings\All Users\Application Data\Acronis and cut and pasted the entire "Acronis" folder to the desktop as backup.
2. Next, I mounted a .TIB backup of the computer that predated the Invalid Script file problem and navigated to Z:\\Documents and Settings\All Users\Application Data\Acronis
3. Then, I copied the entire (Acronis) folder from the backup into C:\\Documents and Settings\All Users\Application Data\
4. Finally, I reopened Acronis True Image Management Console, connected to the computer that had the Invalid Script to find that the task is now valid again. I did have to reschedule using the (Schedule the Selected Item) task back to every day at the time I wanted.
