Is it safe to kill the acronis processes during Backup.

Hello,
We are using Acronis® True Image Echo Server® (build 8,398) in windows 2008 32 bit Environment.

We are invoking the backup using command line and want to kill or stop the backup from command line.
Is it safe to kill the Acronis processes (trueimageservice.exe, tureImageNotify.exe, TrueImageMonitor.exe, trueImage.exe) during the backup.

Is there any other way to stop the backup (Not from Acronis GUI)
