Must Reactive Windows Vista After Recovery

Thread needs solution

I use True Image Echo Workstation on a classroom of computers running Windows Vista.
At the end of every semester ,to delete all student generated files, I restore the original tib file then update Windows and other programs. I noticed that Windows needs to be reactivated after the recovery is done. Is this because I'm using a newer version of TI EW, or is it because of Windows Vista? I never had to do this for Windows XP.

Thank you for any assistance you can give me.

Hello Kulamelody!

Welcome to our Forum, we're glad you joined us!

Unfortunately this question is related more to Microsoft Support, since it looks like Vista ties its license to some particular hardware and after recovery checks whether it can find the license.

Hello Yana,

Yes, you are right. After some thought, I realized that there were hardware changes which most likely prompted the reactivation process. In any event, I'm glad I touched base and verified that it wasn't due to Acronis. Thank you for being there.
