Operation in progress 0% - forever
Hello,
I am using Acronis Tru Image Echo, build 8018. I am running the Management Console on an XP machine, backing up a partition on a Windows 2003 server (among others, but all other machines are backing up fine).
This operation previously ran with no problems, but now it simply will not run. The status bar shows “Operation in progress 0%”, the log shows “Create Differential Backup Archive From: Data (D): To file: “\\BUFFALO2\Backup\Daily Backup\Sserver Daa-A.tib” Password protected Compression: Norm…”, followed by “Pending operation 135 started: Creating partition image”, and the program just hangs at that point (and cannot be cancelled).
I got one full backup to run manually by rebooting the server, but the next scheduled differential did not run.
I can’t find any more informative error messages on the system and I do not really know what the program is trying to do when it hangs (write to disk where backup will be placed? read partition for backup? or?). Could someone please suggest a troubleshooting approach or possible causes?
In addition, I have tried to register this product on my account here and received the error message “Serial number is invalid”.
Thanks for your help,
John Bell

Hello Anton,
I have the same Problem with Version 8.398 for some Weeks now.
Before the Backup was running without Problems on a W2K8 Server.
The Backup starts normally an runs, always showing 0% and stops when the Backup-Fuile is about 40 GB. Nothing happens then, no Error Messages.
I hope You can help me.
Best Regards
Alex
