Restoring to different hardware using Universal fails to install new driver

Thread needs solution

Hi I have a windows 2003 SBS server using SATA drives that were confgiured in windows as Dynamic drves. I know need to transfer the image to a new Server with a different hard drive controller.
I have made an image, restored it onto a new disk which is then set to Basic. Booted the new drive in the old server and it works OK. I then take an image of this "baisc" drive and restore it onto the new server using universal restore. During the process I specify the correct up to date SATA controller driver and the process completes OK but when I reboot the Windows fails to boot with in seconds with a blue screen. This tells me that the driver did not copy during the restore. i proved this by taking the new drive and plugging it into the old server and it booted just fine!
I have tried this over and over again with the same results. Does anyone have any ideas or know how to get this image restored onto the new hardware by editing the HAL for example.

I have used TrueImageServer 8 and 9.1 (build 3,920)

thank you!

Additional Info:- When the server restarts after the restore i get STOP: 0X0000007B which also indicates a driver issue.
I have tried restoring this image onto a standard pc using SATA with the same results. I also have another image of a different server which works fine on any computer I restore to. What possibly could be wrong with the image that I need to restore?
