Restoring to multiple PCs on the same network

Hi

We have several new dell PCs which came pre-installed with Windows 7. We are downgrading them to Win xp for compatibility reasons. I have wiped Win 7 from one pc and installed win xp on it along with other needed software. Can I now use image from this pc to restore on other pcs to save time? If so what do I need to do so the pcs can co-exist on the same network? Do I need to change the SID for instance?
