Trouble backing up Image to Network
I'm having trouble creating a backup image over the network, I am running Acronis 10 and when I try to save an image over the network Acronis gives me an error that says:
The file name, location, or format
"[\NETWORKPATH\IMAGENAME.TAB" is not valid.
Please type the file name or location in the correct format.
Basically it is reading “\” as “\”
Any ideas? I've ran into this on several different machines using several different versions of Acronis.

What build of TI 10 are you using?
Do you mean \\ as \ ?
Is it just a particular UNC path or is it every share you try to access?
What type of network share is it (Windows or Linux)?

It is not recognizing the backslash, reading it as "& # 9 2 ;" instead. so when I type \\servername\folder it comes back saying & # 9 2 ;& # 9 2 ;servername& # 9 2 ;folder is not valid (minus the spaces between characters)
It does this with whatever path I use. It is able to browse to folders on servers, but only one level (server>folder) nothing past that.
Windows network.
I am using Acronis Echo True Image Enterprise Universal 9.7.8206+Disk Director 10.0

Hello all,
Thank you for your posts.
MudCrab,
Thank you very much for your assistance.
Mike,
I will do my best to help you with this.
If I am not mistaken, you are using a recovery CD to save the backup to a network share. I can suggest the following to fix this. Type the location name and image name as you did previously, but do not proceed until you get a pop-up asking for credentials. After entering them, you can continue working with the software.
I would really appreciate if you can get back to me in case you have additional questions.
Thank you.

Anton,
Yes, I do get a pop up asking for credientials when I click on the nextwork I want to save it to, after that is when it gives me the error:
The file name, location, or format
"[\NETWORKPATH\IMAGENAME.TAB" is not valid.
Please type the file name or location in the correct format.
I can browse the network, but only to one folder, for example, I can get to Server1 and see there are 5 folders, but clicking on any of those folders, I see nothing.
Thank you for your help.

Hello again, Mike,
Thank you for replying.
I appreciate the additional information. It is possible, this issue is caused by a Digitally Signed Communications policy, if it is a domain server, which prevents our software from accessing the network share.
Please download the latest version of our bootable CD, which is 8398. You can do it from your Acronis web-account, use this article for additional information. If it still fails to work, then I can recommend this article to try and resolve this problem.
Let me know if you require additional assistance please.
Thank you.
