True Image Echo WS not reading recovery image on Kingston Data Traveler 4GB USB drive
I have a Kingston Data Traveler 4GB USB drive that I am attempting to create a recovery image on.
My system is running Windows XP Pro on a 16 GB CF. When I try to select the driva as a location for the .tib file, the program hangs.
The Kingston Data Traveler 4GB USB drive is formatted as fat32 and I have created is as a rescue drive from the True Image application.
Are there any known issues with the Data Traveler USB drives?

I am using the latest build(8398) of Acronis True Image Echo Workstation
The system is running Windows XP Pro SP3. The drive is a 16 GB SanDisk Industrial Compact Flash that has been set to a fixed disk.
The compact flash operates as a IDE drive similar to an SSD.
I have been able to boot the thumb drive and launch the Acronis software and create a .tib file to a network location. When I then copy that .tib file to the Kingston thumb drive to be able to use as my recovery drive, the Acronis software will launch, but then hangs when trying to access the drive as the recovery location. I have used this method with 2 GB Lexar drives as well as 4 and 8 GB compact flash removable media with success. I am trying to figure out why this USB drive will not perform as expected.

Update*
After further efforts to resolve the issue, and realizing that this was working in the past, I rolled the Software back to
Acronis® True Image Echo Workstation® (build 8,163) and the process is once again working as expected. It appears to be an issue with
build 8398 and the formatting in FAT32 on drives larger than 2 GB. Hopefully this issue will not be present in later releases of Acronis software.

All,
You can see post 6905 and the reported bugs that weren't fixed in the two last builds (yes I did have a case number). The bug you mentioned was created in build 8353. I reported these bugs to Acronis when 8353 came out, but they stated Echo Workstation was being discontinued due to ABR10. Low and behold, Acronis released another build 8398 to my surprise and as expected, these bugs weren't even addressed. This pissed me off since our Industrial computers exclusively use USB flash drives for all backup and recovery operations. I had to go back to build 8206 for this to work. I did have extensive talks with Acronis in Burlington, and they did admit they dropped the ball on this. Too bad they couldn't make there last build a good one as my company sells this aftermarket to our business customers. I prefer to use the latest build, but I can't.
