True Image Enterprise 2010 - Corrupted Windows 2000 server while installing

Thread needs solution

Hi,

I am new to this forum. Recently, I installed Acronis True Image Enterprise 2010 in a HP Server (Bought in Year 2005) to create a backup. The software installed nicely and asked for a reboot. But alas, when I rebooted it, it displays "bootmgr missing" and refuses to boot again. Literally, I killed the machine when all I wanted to do was to take up the backup 'in case it fails' but it failed because I installed Acronis!

Is there a chance that the machine can be revived?

Regards,

Greetings,
Have you tried F8, Recovery Environment. Last Known Good Configuration, etc?

Windows 2000 Installation CD

Boot the computer from the installation CD, start Recovery Console and run fixmbr and fixboot commands.
