Hi Everybody,

i have a strange issue with Acronis True Image Echo Server (Version 9.7.8398) with snapapi version 0.7.51. I use TrueImageCmd to back up local Directories from about 30 Machines running RHEL 5.2 (Kernel-Version 2.6.18-92.1.10.el5). The Backups are written either to a nfs share or local disk. The commands are scheduled via cron.

The problem is, that some jobs do not finish, that means, that TrueImage stops to write data to disk at some random point (i had everything from 0 to 100%). The TrueImage-Process is still running at that point but can't finish its scheduled job. Normaly TrueImageCmd uses about 90-100% cpu time in this state and has to be killed manually. The error occuring does not provoke the process to break up. This is happening on different machines every day. Sometimes one Machine works well, on the other day it doesn't.

Any hints how to solve the Problem are greatly appreciated, thanks in advance!

Hello again,

sometime last week i realized that the version we use is not supported for RHEL 5.2. I upgraded to Backup&Recovery 10, now it works as it should.
