trueimagemonitor.exe unable to locate component, acrotls.dll was not found

Thread needs solution

True Image Echo vs 9.7.0.8398 installed (WinXP Pro SP3). On reboot error message: trueimagemonitor.exe unable to locate component, acrotls.dll was not found. True Image does not start.

Hello,
after a fresh install of Windows XP Pro SP 3 I also installed True Image Echo vs 9.7.0.8398.
The install seemed to have gone fine, but upon rebooting, I am notified with the error message in the title, and the program does not start.

I have searched for that dll, but could not find it on my pc.
I uninstalled and reinstalled three times already, and even made a new download of the software (in case the download may have gotten corrupted) - same problem every time.

I suspected that it might have something to do with the installed MS Security Essentials and disabled the service via msconfig and rebooted - problem persists, True image won't start.

How can I get the program going?

Any useful pointers are appreciated.
Thanks, Thorsten
