Uninstall True Image Agent - Fatal Error

Thread needs solution

Hi All,

I have been trying to remove the True Image Agent via add/remove in Control Panel on a Win2003 server also running Exchange 2003. I receive a 'Fatal Error during installation message' and the process goes no further. I have scoured the boards and kb to find a definitive answer on this and am still not sure of the best practice.

I have investigated and downloaded the True Image Echo Cleanup Utility http://kb.acronis.com/content/4117 but am not sure that this will remove the agent. There is no other Acronis software on this server apart from the True Image Agent.

I have successfully removed the Acronis Exchange Agent from this server but am stuck with the True Image agent. Has anybody got any wisdom on this, I would really appreciate it if anybody can help.

Best regards

Robin

Hello Robin,

Welcome to the forum and thank you for your post. I will definitely help you with this issue.

I am confident that the Acronis True Image Echo cleanup utility will remove the agent from your machine. However, you can also try removing it manually.

Delete all the Acronis folders from your machine, from Program Files and Common Files. Then, please check the following KB article to remove the low-level drivers and the Acronis Backup Archive Explorer:

 - Removing Acronis SnapAPI Drivers

 - Removing Acronis Backup Archive Explorer

If you need additional assistance please let me know.

Thanjk you.
