USB disks no longer show up in Acronis 9.1 restore to disk selection

Software is Acronis True Image Workstation version 9.1 (build 3887) running on an XP SP2 box which has been working fine for some time.

For some reason now when I tell Acronis I want to restore a full disk image I get the normal option to choose the archive image and then the option to select the disk to restore *to*, but now no USB disks show up in that selection window even though there are external USB disks installed that are being recognized by Windows.

This has not been a problem before and I am unaware that anything has been changed on this box to cause this new behavior. I am interested in finding out what might be the most likely causes/fixes for this.

I am going to try to attach a pic showing a Windows Explorer window right next to my Acronis disk selection window to show the difference. In this pic disks F: and H: are both USB disks and I want to write my image to the F: disk.

This one may be ignored and I'd delete if I could see a way to do so. I did a system restore back about a week and solved it, so apparently something did change. I'm just not sure what and don't much care at this point.
