Validate is locking up the Acronis application

Thread needs solution

Using True Image Echo server build 8398 on Server 2003 SP2

If a job is created with validation or if validation of the archive is run manually the Acronis application locks hard and has to be killed via Task Manager.

If a job is created without validation it runs without any issues at all.

There is nothing noteworthy in the Windows event logs, and no logfile to speak of in the Acronis folder.

Any track for troubleshooting this issue would be greatly appreciated.

1. How big is the backup?

2. What types of files are in the backup?

3. Where is the backup stored?

4. AcronisInfo report.

Backups are being stored to a Secure Zone on an external USB Hard Drive. I checked the Secure Zone and there is 441.1 GB of free space out of a total 931.5 GB.

There are 2 problems happening related to validation:

1. Can not validate existing backups, or enable it in the scheduled backup jobs. The interface locks up when either trying a manual backup or just trying to enable it in the scheduled task.

2. validation can not be selected on a brand new backup job...it locks up the interface.

Being that the validation can not be selected on a brand new job, would it still have anything to do with the types of files or the size of the files we are asking to be backed up? I tried to select a folder that was empty to backup, and it also locked up the interface.

I have attached the AcronisInfo results, as requested.
