0xc000000e Error on startup
I'm a hurt factory. I'm not sure this is even a True Image issue, but when we tried to start up our new HP notebook (a graduation gift today for my daughter), she got a 0xc000000e memtest.exe error.
Prior to this, the computer was working fine. I attempted to make an Acronis Secure Zone on it, but the process would fail without comment, saying only that it could not be created. I then used Easus Partition Master to create a partition on the hard drive for storing backup files. Files would back up on schedule to this partition with no problem.
When looking at the hard drive with my emergency boot CD using the 'View the current state of your hard drives' option in Tools & Utilities, the software shows that the drive is in 5 partitions with the label Dynamic/GPT. I think 2 of the mini partitions were put there by HP for restoration to factory settings, 1 mini partition I don't know, and the 2 big partitions.
The software shows that boot large partition has somehow acquired a new drive letter of D:
I'm sure this is why I'm getting the error at start. Can True Image help me out with restoring the drive letter, or am I stuck? Thanks.
System:
Win 7
HP Pavilion dv6 Notebook
Acronis True Image Home 2011
One internal hard drive partitioned with Easus Partition Master
