2010 boot disk hangs-fails

Thread needs solution

I have tried making my own boot disk (several times), I have downloaded the ISO from Acronis website. I have tried all options from the ISO. I have tried "tweaking" my Bios. Every time, the boot disk boots to a menu. When I try to start 2010 I just get a black screen.

True Image Echo, TI 12 (2009), TI 11 and TI 10 all work OK. The boot disk works OK on another PC.

The ISO from Acronis produces the following information in "non-quiet" mode. As I don't use Linux (I would like to, but never enough time to learn), I don't know what is relavent from the error screen, but here are some of the messages:

BUG: Unable to handle kernel paging request at 31c00f01
IP: [<31c00f01>] 31c00f01
...
....
Pid: 1. Swapper Not Tainted ...

etc.
etc.

Kernel panic - not syncing: Attempted to kill init!

..... This is then hung......

As all previous versions work - why not this one?

Effectively, the product I have paid for is no use to me, I will have to keep using earlier versions ...

If you want any other information from this error page - I can readily produce it!

Comment for the gernal reader: Don't forget that the boot disks generally will work backwards compatible for a version or three but not forward. So if you're reliying on an older version of bootdisk, be sure touse an oder version of backup. Good luck.

hello, similar problem here, with the newest iso image (trueimage home 2010 build #7046).
interesting detail: i have a win7 notebook with internal cd-drive and a win7 netbook with external usb-cd-drive. the problem (unable to load ramdisk, kernel panic, freeze) only appears on the netbook with external cd-drive. on my notebook with internal cd-drive everything works fine.
thank you for releasing a newer and better iso image soon! :-)
