2010 crashes computer
Anyone seen this one? Any time I try to set up any capability of TIH 2010, I get to about the third step and clicking on the "next" or "continue" the computer acts like you hit the "reset" button and the computer reboots.

Is this running under Windows? Does it behave the same way operating from any of the bootable media options?

What build are you using? See https://forum.acronis.com/forum/9793. Updating to build 7046 should correct this issue.

Running under Win XP Pro with latest updates. I was able to make one bootable rescue disk and this seems to work OK. Anyonw know of any software incompatabilities? This is Build 7046.
Now I can't even create a new bootable.

Hello,
Gary and thomasjk, thanks for your help.
Mr. Dorey, I'll be glad to help you, but first of all I need some additional information to investigate the issue.
1. Could you please clarify: have you the same issue with the previous build #6053?
2. At what step exactly Acronis True Image crashes Windows?
3. Please collect Windows mini-dumps and AcronisInfo and attach the information to your reply to this thread. If you're concerned about privacy, you can send me a Private Message with the gathered data.
We are looking forward to hearing back from you at your earliest convenience.
Thank you.

Frustrated with 7046 update which cannot apparently install a needed directory C:\programdata\microsoft\windows\startmenu\programs
So I tried another approach. I uninstalled Acronis and tried to reinstall and now I do not have any Acronis!!!
Can't get through to Acronis!!!! Paid for a program and have nothing to show for it. I have FIVE or SIX registered Acronis programs and this is the thanks I get!!!
Now I have to enter about 64 numbers and letters and then another 25 numbers and letter to get install to start and then it fails !!!!
Any help????
