2010 Plus pack information

Thread needs solution

I see that the plus pack is now mentioned in the updates list as of 3 November.

Interestingly it is denoted as 0MB in size, so I assume that although it shows as build 6029, it still isn't ready as ye, but it is available on the purchase page for U$29.99 .

The release note says:

Release Notes for Acronis True Image Home 2010 Plus Pack Build 6029

Release date: 03-Nov-2009

Build: English USA, English UK, German & French:
Downloadable Basic: 6029
Overview

Acronis is pleased to announce the release of Plus Pack for Acronis True Image Home 2010.

Plus Pack features

* Support of dynamic/GPT disks — operations with dynamic/GPT disks expand the range of hard drive configurations supported by Acronis True Image Home. Dynamic disks offer greater flexibility for volume management and may provide benefits in computers with more than one hard drive. GUID Partition Table (GPT) is a new hard disk partitioning scheme providing advantages over the old MBR partitioning scheme. It was introduced as a part of the Extensible Firmware Interface (EFI) initiative.
* Universal Restore — Now users of Acronis True Image Home can use the proprietary Universal Restore technology that provides an efficient solution for hardware-independent system recovery by replacing the crucial Hardware Abstraction Layer (HAL) and mass storage device drivers. This may come in handy, for example, after replacing the failed motherboard or when deciding to migrate from a desktop to a laptop.
* Acronis WinPE ISO builder — This tool allows adding Acronis True Image Home plug-in to WinPE (Windows Preinstallation Environment) distributions based on any of the following kernels: WinPE 1.5, 2.x, 3.0. To be able to create or modify PE 2.x and 3.0 images, you must have Windows Automated Installation Kit (AIK) installed. Running Acronis True Image Home in the preinstallation environment may provide better compatibility with your computer.s hardware because the preinstallation environment uses Windows drivers.

Known issues

* Partitions on dynamic disks cannot be recovered if the default partition letters assigned by the Recovery Wizard have been not changed

I would like to know more about this product. I didn't realize it was brand new... but thought since I have an xp, Vista 32 bit, Vista 64 bit that has a 'free' upgrade to Windows 7... and am considering a virtual machine... thought it would be a good product. If anyone knows more about it or has tried it, would love to hear from you!

Can you translate the last sentence in the release notes? The word "not" is very confusing...

Sure!

If (! not){
not == !false;
true = false;
if (!true){
do{
break;
continue;
}
while (as you were == !absolutelyfalse)
}
}

See simple really!

I tried to understand the tautology, and can only assume that the 'not' shouldn't be there, or is in the wrong place. Possibly should read 'have not been changed'

Mr de Bono, where are you?

Colin,

Shouldn't that be not = !false ?

Or maybe this is better... (translated from English to Russian, Russian to French, French to English):

The chapters on dynamic disks can not be restored if the fault attributed to the letters sections of recovery wizard has not changed.

Wait... I forgot German:

The partitions on dynamic disks can not be restored if the letter of the default partition wizard recovery was not affected last.

Maybe it's supposed to be Russian first, German next, then French and lastly English:

The chapter on dynamic disks can not be restored if the default were changed to non-affected sections of the letters Recovery Wizard.

But where does the English UK translation go?

I'm training myself to be a non standard multithreading open steppe'ing guru. Therefore standard Kernighan and Ritchie syntax do not apply.

OTOH - You are correct, an updated post will be available in a frametime notwithstanding at a time, that cannot be divulged at this moment.

You forgot Bulgarian to Japanese to English.
