I'm moving from XP Pro to Win Pro 7 Pro 64bit (on new box):
1. Will 2011 Home Bld 6942 run on 7 Pro 64bit cleanly (without odd gyrations/patches/hacks/etc.)
2. If '1.' can I transfer my licensed copy over to the new box on a no harm no foul basis
3. If not is there an upgrade path or do I have to buy all new
4. If all new, will the 2014 version restore 2011 version images (over 1TB so don't want to do by hand)

1 - yes,
2- yes, 2011 does not require activation, just install it on the new box and promise not to use the old installation at the same time.
3 - Upgrade from 2011 costs about half a price.
4 - upgrade or not (the installation is the same, the difference is only the licenses used), 2014 can restore images made by 2011.
