Hi Grover!

No, this old utility cannot be used with Acronis True Image 2014.

Currently we are working on a new one and it should be released at the beginning of the next week.

I'll keep you updated.

Thank you!

Indeed. There are many odd things about this forum software. I think it's the most awkward forum that I use. Many poor choices were made by the Drupal forum designers.

I had not noticed this peculiarity. I think it is the first time I've come across it.

Clean up utility 2014 ?

Click the link the OP references in his post.

At this particular moment of posting, the cleanup utiltity for 2014 does not exist or none has been release and the 2013 cleanup utility is NOT designed for use on 2014.

See post #1 above for posting by Acronis.

well, what does this kb article mean, updated yesterday?
http://kb.acronis.com/de/atihcleanup
old tool still good or not???

EDIT:
found new tool linked in the middle of the page:
http://dl.acronis.com/u/support/atih_cleanup_tool_s_e.exe

the link at the bottom still leads to the old one...

That page was updated only today, so obviously we were unaware of it when you asked earlier.

As Acronis says it now covers 2014, I suppose it must. We MVPs have no further info about it.

my timezone said 19. already, we're talking about the same edit :)

Yes, same edit. It was done only a few hours ago, so it's brand new information.

Hello Everyone,

Yes, you are right, this KB article was updated yesterday and  now it  contains new version of Cleanup Utility that supports Acronis True Image 2014.

We are sorry, that it took so much time to make new Cleanup Utility available in knowledge base. It was related to some website issues.

Let me know, if you have any questions.

Thank you.

Instructions are on that page: http://kb.acronis.com/content/34876

yes, but someone should fix that website!
as i posted on 09/18 the main link at the bottom still leads to the old version

Acronis--Anna,
I believe what Randy is indicating (in the preceding post) is that after opening the current download, the 2014 version is NOT listed (which I have confirmed) in the actual program header so there is no indication inside the program that this currect download actually applies to 2014.

Also, additional clarification needed. The KB article only lists 2010 to -2014 as being applicable to this utility.
However, the actual file lists much more. Perhaps the entire listing of applicable programs should be reviewed.

Thanks.
GroverH

NO - what i am saying is:

there are 2 download links for the acronis cleanup tool on
http://kb.acronis.com/content/34876

the link in the middle of the page links to the new tool
http://dl.acronis.com/u/support/atih_cleanup_tool_s_e.exe

the link at the bottom of the page still links to
http://kb.acronis.com/system/files/content/2012/08/34876/atih_cleanup_t…
which is the old tool! (look at the date of the compressed .exe)

and this is the reason i posted here because i also didn't find the correct link at once...

Thank you Randy for the correction of my mistake. Additional clarification is below.
--------------------------------------

On my Acronis English website, in the middle of the page, I have a header which reads
Common (1)
http://dl.acronis.com/u/support/atih_cleanup_tool_s_e.exe
(internal comments read)

this tool will help to uninstall the following
Acronis products from your system:
Acronis True Image 2010 Home
Acronis True Image 2011 Home
Acronis True Image 2012 Home
True Image 2013 by Acronis
True Image Lite 2013 byh Acronis
Acronis Small Office: Server Cloud Backup
Acronis True Image 2014

My Notes:
The above is the new 2014 cleanup tool and its internal listing of applicable programs differ from the listing inside the old tool.

-----------------------------------
At the bottom of the page, there is listed
Files/Dowloads

http://kb.acronis.com/system/files/content/2012/08/34876/atih_cleanup_t…

(internal comments read)

this tool will help to uninstall the following
Acronis products from your system:

Acronis True Image 10.0 Home
Acronis True Image 11 Home
Acronis True Image 2009 Home
Acronis True Image 2010 Home
Acronis True Image 2011 Home
Acronis True Image 2012 Home
TrueImage 2013 by Acronis
Acronis Disk Director Suite 10.0
Acronis Disk Director 11 Home
Acronis Disk Director 11 Advanced
Acronis Snap Deploy 4

My Notes:
which is the old version and not applicable to 2014.
The internal listing of applicable programs differs from the 2014 version.

======================
From the internal listing of applicable programs, it would appear that 2014 cleanup utility is applicable to only the newer versions; whereas the 2013 cleanlup utility can be used on really old versions of TrueImage.

Most certainly, the KB article needs to better clarify the separation of these two download to avoid user error of the wrong file to the wrong version.

Hello Everyone,

We are really sorry for this confusion and very appreciate your comments!

The KB article has been fixed; we removed the old utility below and changed screenshots.

Thank you!

Acronis2014 has a defect that causes it to freeze in W8.1. It goes not responding and stays there. I need a cleanup utility because the uninsatall also freezes.

It was said to be available in late APRIL and I KNOW ther is soething because support used it on my system. I had to do a restore to an earlier image which has Acronis and I want it off.

Can you help?

This the most current link for the cleanup tool https://kb.acronis.com/content/34876.

If you buy Revo Uninstaller Professional (RIP) - no, not rest in peace :) - one computer-lifetime subscription and set it to the Advanced Setting you can obliterate anything. You will be doing some registry editing but RIP bolds everything that you have to delete. Just make sure that it doesn't go too high up in the registry. Although this has never happened to me and I doubt the knowledge of the source - I have read a claim that RIP bolded the entire Registry. Given the number of times that I have used it and had absolutely no problems, I don't believe this claim for one second! Still deleting from the Registry should not be approached lightly. RIP works in three stages when set on Advanced:

1) Installation which is not a complete process.

2) Registry cleaning

3) Getting rid of any and all files, folders, links, etc. that are related to the program in question.

I have used it to delete an Acronis installation that I did not like (2015) and it came through like a champ.

Can someone provide me with a direct link to the Acronis True Image 2014 Clean up tool - I cannot find it.
Many thanks
Martin

Its listed in post #24 and also listed in item 4 my signature below.
