2014 Incremental backups

Thread needs solution

I'm using True Image 2014. Every Sunday a backup is created.
SSD_(C)_full_b1_s1_v1.tib which is my first Full backup.
Then I got 36 Incrementals up to this one.
SSD_(C)_inc_b1_s36_v1.tib

I know I need the FULL backup file but can I keep just the latest one (#36) and delete the older Incrementals?

thanks!

NO! Each inc file has its own individual piece of the backup. The sequential numbering from S1 to S21 must be maintained. The only one which can be safely deleted is the newest one which is the S36 if you want the others to be restorable. None of the oldest can be deleted. Each tib is a ncessary piece and all pieces needed.

Why not create a new task with automatic cleanup so the program will deleted the oldest pieces.
GH12. Create Custom Incremental Backup Scheme. ...Keep Full plus 6 Inc per chain. Store/Keep 4 chains. Use whatever number best fits your needs.
