2014 used for 2015 SSD image. Copied sectors number count mismatch failed.

Thread needs solution

Had 2015 installed on new computer and did several full disk backups from SSD to both a second internal HDD and a USB external HDD successfully validated. Was running Windows 8.1 latest, but could not login with windows pw. Windows pw still good on other 8.1 pc so decided to restore. Unfortunately had not made a 2015 boot DVD so used an older win 7 2014 boot DVD.

Did a validate and restore from 2 recent images from both internal and external HDDs. Picked whole disk restore and validate option. Picked MBR, 100MB Pri, Act unnamed partition and other main partition from 1TB image. Main image showed 931.2 to 931.3 GB used as first indication of a problem. Both restores failed on 0x70001 Internal Error number of copied sectores differs from counted. After also failed GRUB activator, patch Linux OS, etc.

Not sure exactly what's wrong and how to fix it. Any help appreciated.

Did you activate the TI 2015 version? I am assuming yes. It should be possible for you to go to the Acronis Support site, logon to your account, click on My Products and Downloads where you should find your registered products. From there you should be able to download the TI 2015 Recovery Boot Media and burn a new DVD with the TI 2015 Recovery Media. Once done attempt using that to restore with.
