2015 Can't Backup USB Flash Drive!!!
I have a 256 Gb USB Flash Drive that I need to back up. TrueImage lets me define a backup for it. I have used both disk/partition and file/folder methods. TI 2015 lets me set up the source, destination (an external 2Tb drive I use for all my TI backups), schedule, backup plan, password, everything. Then I save, and it seems to be fine. But after that it just sits there. If I mouse over the Backup Now button, it changes colour slightly, but won't start. I had both trial backups scheduled for last night, and neither ran. The two trial backups are in the list but, when I select them, they do not give a Next Scheduled or Last Backed Up, and in the main window there is no backup size shown.
Help, please??? TI 2015 works great for my main computers, but doesn't want to backup the USB Flash. Oh, BTW, when I am setting up the backups, it DOES show the USB drive, with proper folders and file sizes.

Using Acronis True Image 2015 I backed up my Windows 10 Notebook computer to a 128GB flash drive. When trying to access the file it reports an error and can not continue because either corrupted, used by another computer or not enough permissions to perform the operation.

James, welcome to these user forums.
Please download a copy of the Log File Viewer app from the link in my signature below then use this to check for any messages being reported by ATIH 2015 for the task that created the backup to your 128GB flash drive.
Have you tried to Validate that backup task with the flash drive connected?
Is the flash drive connected directly to your system or connected via a hub? If not directly connected, either use a powered hub or try connected to a system USB port. Perhaps try a different USB port as needed.
Can you open the flash drive using Windows Explorer, and if so, can you Mount or explore the backup .TIB file from this method?

I don't believe I am up to using the Log File Viewer.
I tried to validate the backup file with the flash drive connected to my Notebook computer, which is an Asus T100HA-C4-GR, and get the same error window.
The flash drive is connected directly to the computer's USB port.
Trying to open the file with Windows Explorer results in the same error window. Also trying to recover files using Acronis goes nowhere.
I have tried to open the file on my desktop computer and get the same error window.
I have now backed up my notebook computer to a SSD hard drive and this works. I'll abandon the flash drive option unless there is something else to try.
Thanks,
Jim
