32 bit Win7 upgrade to 32 bit win10 and it will only run if i uninstall acronis

Thread needs solution

I have been using acronis for ages without an issue, but after upgrading to Windows 10 (32-bit in both cases) Acronis seems to kill Windows 10 - stopping it creating windows and geterally slugging it. - reset button necessary.  I uninstalled Acronis and all was well with Windows 10.

I checked the documentation for Acronis 2015, and Windows 10 is quoted as an acceptable o/s so I just re-installed it - with the same terminal results for Windows 10.

wtf is going on here.

Godfrey, I have been using ATIH 2015 build 6613 on my Windows 10 32-bit system for more than a year with no problem whatsoever - this too was upgraded from Windows 7 32-bit.  I am sure that there are other users who are doing the same, so I have no immediate idea for why you are seeing such an impact for having it on your system?

I would recommend running the Acronis Cleanup Tool to ensure that when you uninstalled ATIH 2015, that you removed it completely - see link to tool in my signature below.

If you want to give this another try after using the cleanup tool, then see KB document: 44350: Acronis True Image 2015/2014: Processes and Services which lists all the potential Acronis Services & Programs that could be running on your system.  This will allow you to try to narrow down what is causing this impact, if it still does impact.

Please ensure that if you do reinstall that you download the latest / final build version from your Acronis account online to use.
