3rd party USB 3.0 drivers?

Thread needs solution

I am still using Win XP Home on one of my PC's and to help with backup/restore, I have added a 3rd party USB 3.0 adapter.  I have some legacy hardware that is not supported by later versions of Windows.

When creating bootable rescue media, does ATI 2015 allow adding drivers so that the USB 3 drive can be used?  Normally, only hardware seen in the bios seems to be recognized, so other drivers would need to be added.  And naturally, USB 3 is so much faster than USB 2.

Thanks.

Hi Larry,  the default bootable Linux recovery should have the necessary drivers already.  If it does not though, you can create winPE bootable media (download and install the lastest Windows ADK from my signature before creating your WinPE) and that should do it.  If for some strange reason, it still doesn't pick it up, you can add drivers to your WinPE, but would have to use Windows ADK commands, or check out DISMGUI instead.  I don't think you'll need to add the drivers, just try the default bootable media first, then create winPE bootable media without adding drivers and try that if need be.  If neither works, we can explain in more detail how to add drivers after that.

Thanks very much for the help/explanation!
