6053 Recovery CD will not boot new Dell Latitude E6400
This is with the 6053 build (both "full" or "safe").
Booting from the CD will just start to load and -- in full mode -- show this:
acronis: cannot open module 'st' : no such file or directory
acronis: insmod: error inserting '/lib/modules/floppy.ho' : -1 No such device
: No such device
no raid disks
Reading all physical volumes. This may take a while...
Then the computer will restart.
Booting in "safe" mode -- just restarts.
Is there a fix for this? If so, what is the trick? (The 6053 disk boots my Optiplex 755 without issue -- so it must be some laptop driver problem...) Revert to an older build? Something else?

Thank you for the feedback. I am really glad to hear that Acronis Bootable Rescue Media runs flawlessly now.
The exact reason of the malfunction is unknown without additional investigation, but it looks like Acronis loader has failed to handle the previous configuration properly. I would like to share the solution I proposed communicating with you via Private Messages, this information can be useful for other customers.
I suggested to try ISOLINUX Bootable Media. There are two types of Acronis Bootable Media:
- Acronis Bootable Media that you can generate in your Acronis product. This type of media is based on Acronis Loader;
- Acronis Bootable Media that you can download from your account on the Acronis website. This type of media is based on ISOLINUX.
ISOLINUX Bootable Media is usually more up to date than the Acronis Loader one. This is due to the fact a new version of Acronis Bootable Media is uploaded to the website more frequently than regular product updates are released.
ISOLINUX Bootable Media has several boot parameters that may help overcome possible issues with booting. You can also set a specific VGA resolution in the ISOLINUX media if there an issue with the Graphical User Interface (GUI).
You can find the information on how to download the appropriate ISOLINUX file in this article. Please see this article on how to burn an ISO file to a CD disk.
The appropriate file is available for downloading from within accounts for the latest and (n-1) versions of Acronis software.
