6514 - Bootable Media does not recognize SD Cards?

Thread needs solution

So ... I have myself a 64GB SD card ...

I like SD cards because I can keep then in my computer without them sticking out a mile like a USB stick can.

So, I thought I could keep the SD card in my laptop with my backup on it ... for just in case.

Using the bootable media at least via Acronis, my SD card is not recogized.

Has anyone had this issue?

This depends a little on how the SD card is formatted, if it reports itself as a hard drive TI should see it, but if it reports itself as a removable (flash) drive TI may not see it.

There are utilities that can format media so they report themselves as hard drives.

There might be a problem if the card reader is internal and TI doesn't have a Linux driver for it, if it attaches via a USB connector then it might be seen as a USB device.

The other things that might cause a problem will be the class type of the SD card, but in your case I think it is more likely to be a driver problem.

I am trying to create a WinPE ISO ... with the RealTek drivers to see what happens. I cannot create the ISO however. As per another post I Acronis is saying I have to have WAIK installed, where it is. Still trying ...
