7119 offline rescue clone to USB disk doesn't work at all
I upgraded from TIH 2012 Plus Pack version 6131 to 7119 today and was rewarded by it utterly failing to clone to USB backup disks when using the offline rescue media. I have two systems where I clone-backup to USB disks and 6131 always worked flawlessly. 7119 doesn't work at all with USB.
On the first system (alvin) I was trying to clone a Linux LVM SATA SSD to a USB3.0 HDD. The rescue media booted, I ran TIH, started the clone utility, selected manual mode like I always do, selected the SSD source drive, then the target selection screen showed both the SSD source and the available USB as being grayed out. Thus I could not select the USB drive as the target.
On the second system (bamboo) I was trying to clone a Win7 NTFS SATA HDD to a USB3.0 HDD. Unlike with the first system, I was able to select the USB HDD as the target, then I chose "as is" cloning, but TIH displays an error dialog saying the target is smaller than the source (it is BIGGER).
I re-attempted on the second system by connecting the USB disk to a USB2.0 port instead of USB3.0. The TIH Linux kernel just hung after the first VGA-mode loading message.
So 7119 is utterly unusable for me in cloning to USB disks. It was successfully able to clone on two additional systems (SATA HDD RAID -> SATA HDD, and SATA SSD -> SATA HDD). But not USB.
Looks like I am falling back to 6131. If Acronis support wants my 7119 system report files, contact me directly.

The 6131 rescue CD appears to clone correctly. In fact last week I had to do a recovery using the 6131 rescue CD and a 6131 backup clone on another one of my systems (which is able to tolerate 7119 for SATA RAID -> SATA HDD cloning).
I just downloaded the 7119 rescue ISO from my Acronis account and burned that to a CD. I then re-tested on my Win7 notebook which is an ASUS U53Jc (http://www.asus.com/Notebooks/Superior_Mobility/U53Jc/). No change in 7119 failure modes. I.e. when backing up to USB3.0, it complains that the target USB disk is smaller than the source SATA disk when the target is in fact larger. And if I attempt to back up to the same target disk but on USB2.0, the TIH linux kernel bootup hangs at the "Starting Acronis Loader..." message.
Given the same failure modes on the Win7 machine I did not try the fresh rescue CD on the linux machine (which is doing some hosting for other people and mid-week is a bad time to take that system offline).
The clone target disks are Western Digital Passport USB3.0 drives, which are in permanently sealed cases and cannot be connected to systems by anything other than external USB ports.

Definitely sounds like a Linux driver problem, you could try changing the boot parameters of the recovery CD, I'd try the NOAPIC or NOUSB options first. This will force Linux to query the BIOS rather than search for drivers, but I suspect Acronis have updated something in the kernel which now has a problem with USB3.0 drives.
To enter parameters on a ready built recovery CD, boot from the CD and press the F8 key, this will bring up a small panel with the word QUIET....
Remove the word Quiet and add in NOUSB or NOAPIC (you can leave the quiet there if you wish), removing QUIET allows you to see Linux kernel messages as it boots, if you see a 'failed' this might give some indication of where and what might be failing.
It might be an idea to run the Acronis report from your CD and keep the file handy as it may contain some diagnostic information which will help Acronis.

Pressing F8 repeatedly or continuously does not alter the startup sequence. There is no opportunity for me to override the startup parameters for the downloaded recovery CD.

F11 has no effect in the USB3.0 drive to USB2.0 port case. The system hangs after the initial "Starting Acronis Loader..." message.
F11 does open a dialog for overriding kernel parameters in the USB3.0 drive to USB3.0 port case. Specifying NOAPIC does not change the subsequent TIH failure (target drive allegedly smaller than source drive). Specifying NOUSB results in TIH not finding the USB drive, and thus failing with the "you only have one drive" message.
I have a system report file if anybody from Acronis wants it.
