Acronis 10 (with XPpro) Recovery ‘failure' question

Thread needs solution

Backup not working (have tried several times, same ‘failure’) result…

1 - reinstall XPpro-SP3 on laptop (full install, format disk, to 'fix' system)
2 - reinstall ACTH v8 for reinstall v10
3 - click on Recovery
4 - select archive (external HD E:/*.tib file, full no differential/s)
5 - clicked restore disk or partitions
6 - pick disk 1
. chk: NTFS (C:)
. chk: MBR and Track 0
7 - shows analyzing partition C:
8 - shows locking E:
9 - pick Disk 1, in yellow for Primary
10 - yes, delete all the partitions b4 restoring
11 - popup… locking C: (about 1 sec)
12 - pick no, do not restore another partition
13 - pick use default options
14 - restoring (from E:/*.tib
. option 1 of 2 (reboot required)

... File system: NTFS
... Size: 931gb
. Option 2 of 2

clicked proceed
15 - popup… W000A03EB: reboot required
clicked reboot
16 - Windows, saving, shutting down

. loading please wait
18 - popup… analyzing partition C: (about 2sec)
19 - pc goes back to desktop with no change/restore of anything

Thoughts ?

Ps:
Did Acronis chat session and they asked if backup validated, and ans was yes.
Also, am able to recover files, just not total partition C: 'full image' recovery, as described in initial post. Chat also recommended downloading ATIH15 and said it should do the recovery for the ATIH10 tib file.
But, cant cant connect to internet with PC, and when use Mac to get the 'pc trial version' and copy to PC, it wouldnt start.
Guess there is no hope/answer ?
