Acronis 2010 with 3 TB Harddisk

Thread needs solution

I am using the first time a 3 TB Hardisk (PROWORX) for disk backup, but it does not work.
I have also changed already the patitions to 2 x 1,5 TB but that does not help.
Could it be that my Acronis 2010 cannot handle that? What can I do?

2010 cannot handle GPT style partitioning--only MBR style.

If you wish to continue using TI 2010 and this is a data only disk, you will need to re-partition the 3tb disk as two MBR partitions. 2 x 1.5TB is ok but must be MBR type partitioning--not GPT.

If this is your system disk, then you may want upgrade the TI 2013.

Thank you for the answer, but I have tried that already.
With Windows 7 tools I only manage to make two Partitions in GPT.
As long as I have two partitions the fuction of changing to MBR-Type is not available . To change to MBR-Type only works if all volumes are deleted (this is also according description in Windows how to do it).
After deleting all volumes (having one big unallocated disc) I can create one 2TB partition in MBR-Type but the rest of the disk cannot be used any more. This is according MBR limitation to 2 GB.
Do you know any other tool that can cange GPT to MBR without deleting the volumes / partitions so that windows "sees" two seperate disks?

Further Information:
I have managed with EaseUS Partition Master 9.2.2 to create two MBR-Type partitions as "logical drives". I can use them normally with Explorer but Acronis Home 2010 does not recognise it and freezes if I try to use it.

The problem is that using logical, the extended size is still 3TB/
The fix is to delete all partitions again and remake the partition as MBR and either both as primary (preferrred) or the first primary and the second can be primary or logical (prefer primary).

Each partition will need to be a a user assigned drive letter. As the disk is external, I prefer to use such letters such as X or Y or Z so the insertion of a flash drive or printer, etc does not cause a drive letter change.

Once you have the 3tb partitioned as 2 primary or lst primary and 2nd as primary or logical, I believe 2010 will see the disk but I am not able to test it for you.

You should be able to Use EaseUS Partition Master
or
also free, "Mini Tool Partition Wizard installed
or the Partition Wizard bootable CD without install.

I changed both to primary partition. You can see in "w.jpg" that for W7 all is o.k.
But still AC 2010 does not know it, see "a.jpg"
I am loosing hope for a solution, do you have any further idea?
Thank's for helping

Attachment W.jpg shows unallocated space at the beginning of the 3tb disk. This should not be or at least not more than 1 mb.

Use your partitioning tool (EaseUS) and delete the partitons and wipe if necessary.
Recreate the partitions and make sure the free space before partition 1 is no more than 1mb.

As I am not reading your language, you may have better assistance on the German forum.

You can try this link.

Regarding your current status. The 3tb still has old partition settings from all the changes you have made. This needs to be either wiped by a wiping program or you could use Windows DiskPart program and use the clean option (do a google search, if needed).

Once you have the disk cleaned and totally unallocated, you can then re-partition into the two partitiions so no one partition is bigger than 2tb. The disk must be MBR and each partition formatted as NTFS. Set 1mb of free space before partition 1.

Afterwards I believe that 2010 CD will see the disk but right now, that 63mb free space at the beginning of partition 1 is confusing a correct interpretation of the partition structure.
