Acronis 2012 suddenly stopped working, with a fail to read from sector and a Failed to read the snapshot (0x10c45a)

Thread needs solution

Acronis TI 2012 suddenly stopped all backups to three different HDD's with the same error message. "Failed to read from sector (44605720) of Hard Disk (#)" - on three separate HDDs. An additional error message is " Failed to read the snapshot (0X10C45A) CRC ERROR (0X100155).

I have run CHKDSK /R on each of the three HDD's. The result was no errors found.

How can this problem be resolved? I'm a long time user of Acronis True Image but now I cant trust that it will work when and if I need it most. How can I be sure it will restore a backup when it suddenly has quit working?

Run chkdsk /r on the source drive.
Also run a drive checking utility from the drive manufacturer, as those sometimes catch errors missed by chkdsk.

How are the backup drives connected?
