acronis 2013 and failed backup drive

Thread needs solution

Hiya,
my backup drive sorta died, "lol murphys law" (btw testdisk, if your comfortable with command line was great, albeit slow way of recovering the data from the bad drive) anyway, when I connected the new backup drive Acronis has created all the folder names of the backups that were on the old drive on the new drive, these folders are of course empty and not needed, so my question is how do I get rid of these permanently because as as fast as I delete then off the new backup drive they are back again the next time I start Acronis and open the backup drive.

thanks in advance
Syb

Greetings,
You haven't told us how you are using the product. File synchronization, non stop back up, external as a stand alone back up destination?

It would probably be a good idea to delete your existing back up tasks and start over. This should allow you to delete the unwanted folders.
