Acronis 2013 and NAS issues
I'm having no luck in getting Acronis 2013 (latest build) to see my Synology diskstation DS212 (DSM 4.2 latest build) via NAS connection in either the windows application or through the recovery CD. In windows I'm able to see my diskstation in Acronis via the Network connection and through the recovery CD it's connecting via the workgroup connection.
I've been using Clonezilla and Synology Data replicator 3 without issue I just wanted to get something that could do what both of those could do and more. I've googled and found other Synology users had the same issues and Acronis support said it was a DSM 3.x issue. It might be that I do not have something turned on, on my NAS; but what is it?
Either way the software is usable I just believe the linux drivers are at fault and would like to know if anyone else has Acronis 2013 working with a Synology NAS and the Nas is showing a connection in the NAS connections.

I have a DS1511+ with the latest firmware and the latest version of Acronis 2013 cannot locate the NAS via the network connection.

Robert, Chris,
As MVP tuttle suggests, please use a UNC path to your device and share. Name or IP both work.
My QNAP does not appear under NAS Connections either. The share is properly detected as soon as you start typing... \\[server or IP]\share...
Would I like it if it appeared under NAS Connections, sure, but its a small price to pay.

From within Windows are you able to FTP into the NAS from True Image?
If TI is not able to see the NAS drive in any way, this sounds like a problem with SNAPAPI, might be worth checking which build of SNAPMAN your system is using.

I could not find the SNAPAPI file on my computer. I did find the SNPAPI.DLL file dated 07/13/2009 Version 6.1.7600.16385. I am using the SYNOLOGY DS1511+ NAS. The drive is visible from Microsoft Windows 7 Professional 64 Bit both as a Map Network Drive Letter and the Network Neighborhood.

Robert,
It is Snapman.sys that you need to look for, you should be able to find it either by looking in your sys32 folder or by bringing up Windows Device Manager and checking the Acronis Adapter and disk driver entries.

Found it:
SNAPMAN.SYS Version 4.5.0.2133 on my Dell XPS Desktop running Windows 7 64-Bit will all patches and updates installed. I have the latest version of True Image 2013 installed.
