acronis 2013 and windows 8

Thread needs solution

I just tried to clone my disk via acronis 2013 program, ie not via the rescue
disk, and windows 8 went crazy after the computer tried to reboot so as to
do the cloning job. Any help

Do not do the clone from Windows. Do the clone from the recovery CD. See this post also FYI: http://forum.acronis.com/forum/38136

Well, I tried cloning from the Recovery CD (two of them, one burned to CD and one to DVD) and I can't even boot from the recovery disc. (Yes, I know how to boot from my optical drive.)

Been using Acronis 2009 for years to clone discs...guess this explains the crappy reviews of all versions since then. Would be nice if the software just worked from the menu...otherwise why bother having clone on the regular interface....

Which build of TI recovery disk is being used for cloning?

What exactly is meant by 'Windows 8 is going crazy'?

I'm using the latest build (6514)...got it to work by putting recovery disc on a USB flash drive.
