acronis 2013 notifications help w/ settings.

Thread needs solution

I'm using smtp.gmail.com, port 265, SSL, email, and password works/checked via google search/webpage login.

I've verified my gmail email account /pass is the same, and functioning... it is. (I've changed nothing in gmail settings for years.)

The To: is a working email (msn)

Anyone have an idea on where to begin troubleshooting..send test message creates Network error dialog.

Joe, the settings for gmail should be using TLS (not SSL) and port 587.  This is because gmail recently (a few months back) tightened security and now rejects any attempts from Acronis True Image to connect via SSL because the version used is too old and insecure.

When configuring these settings, select TLS first then change the port as otherwise TLS will default to using port 465 and not work.
