Acronis 2014 Home - video mode setup error 0x1480006 on HP Z240 tower

Thread needs solution

First time I had to use Acronis on this as I need to get an image off it.  And this machine won't allow Acronis to boot.  I have done the following and nothing worked:

1. Disable fast boot
2. Made sure the USB/DVD are first before the m.2 SSD
3. disable secure boot (enabling legacy boot),
4. Tried VGA=ASK

Not sure what else to try.  Any one have any ideas?  This computer is only using it's internal video card.  Which I believe is a Intel 620.  It's an i7 7th gen processor.

nizmoz, welcome to these user forums.

You will face other problems trying to make a backup image of this system using ATIH 2014 - this does not have any support for the NVMe M.2 SSD drive you have installed, and if this is also using RAID mode for the SATA, then that again has no support in the standard, Linux based, Rescue Media.

This is an instance where I would recommend upgrading to ATIH 2017 to get the support needed for this new hardware.

Your alternative would be to try building the Windows PE version of the Rescue Media - see the third 'sticky' post at the top of the list of forum topics in this forum which has a post on this topic from Mustang.
