Acronis 2015 Can't See Volumes
I tried installing Acronis 2015 some months ago, but it worked very poorly- multiple error codes during install, very slow, functions unavailable-- and I uninstalled it. I subsequently discovered that it had apparently busted my copy of Acronis 2013 as well. I hoped that a later version of 2015 would work. and I now have the trial version of 11.5, Update Five. It installed uneventfully, but on reboot, the message was "Acronis Managed machine Service is Unavailable." The problem on 11.5 is that in trying to backup, it can't find any volumes, although there are a LOT of partitions over several MBR and GPT drives. In trying to restore, it can't find old .tib files. (No backward compatibility?) Pretty much the same in 2013: no partitions are listed when an attempt is made to backup (the box is completely blank), and though it can see .tib files to restore, it can't find any place to restore the backups to. The 2013 Recovery Disk works fine. The 2015 Recovery Disk doesn't, but I assume that I lack the licenses to get it to do anything.
I actually like 2015 and would love to install it. But it looks like I need some major fixing within Windows 7 itself. Any thoughts appreciated.
